Its funny, I play the game every day and I hadn't noticed how obtrusive the UI was until you guys pointed it out. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. :)

Looks better. The eyes are still drawn to the controls though because the colors are really bright. You might want to try muting them even further.
I think the update looks good. I would agree with the other commenter, but your thumbs should be covering the controls -- the only time you will see the bright areas on those thumb pads would be when your thumbs are removed from them -- and under those circumstances, seeing exactly where they are is actually a good thing.
Revolt is a 3d dual stick shooter for the iphone and ipod touch set in the future, where a devastating virus has wiped out most of humanity, and machines have risen up to exterminate the remains of the population. You must take control of Guy, a reistance fighter who has infiltrated into enemy territory, to battle against the robotic hordes and blast through a series of sabotage missions deep in the underground catacombs of a robot factory and beyond. Turning the enemies technology against them, you'll wield powerful weapons to fight your way to the heart of the cybernetic machine core to discover the source of the deadly virus and uncover who or what is behind the plot to wipe out mankind.

Yea after seeing the new UI live I think it's fine as is. It's not as noticeable as I thought it'd be from the screenshots. Looks great!
